Update EZ Form® to December 2024 Release

Already an EZ Form® user?  We update our software quarterly to stay current with the latest regulations and constantly shifting requirements for compliance. Updates to EZ Form® are not installed automatically - your software is current if you have the December 2024 (2024.400) version.  If not, please download the latest update below.

Brief Installation Instructions

The following instructions apply to the Full and Quick versions of the EZ Form® update.

  • Check for the folder C:\EZFTemp on your computer and remove it if it exists.
  • Open/Run the update file that you have downloaded, then unzip it.
  • Run C:\EZFTemp\SETUP.EXE. Follow the prompts to complete Setup.
  • You may now delete the C:\EZFTemp folder and all its contents.

Detailed Installation Instructions

The following instructions apply to the Full and Quick versions of the EZ Form® update.

  • Locate and remove C:\EZFTemp -- Run File Explorer. Display the contents of your C: drive. Look for an EZFTemp folder among the folders and files shown in the right-half of the screen. Single-click on the EZFTemp folder to highlight it, then press the "Delete" key. If prompted to confirm, click on YES.
  • Download,run, and unzip the new release -- If you have not already done so, click the appropriate <Click to Download> button above. If you encounter a "Windows protected your PC" screen, click <More Info> then <Run Anyway>. When the download is complete, open your Downloads folder and locate the file you just downloaded (quick20###.exe or v20###xx.exe). Double-click on this file to run it. When the Unzip window appears, click <Unzip>. When the process finishes, click <OK>, then close the Unzip window.
  • Run Setup -- Run File Explorer. Display the contents of your C: drive. Locate the folder EZFTemp and double-click on it to open it. If not already the case, put the list of files in alphabetical order. The very first file listed will now be "__SETUP.EXE". (Note: The .EXE extension may not be displayed.) Double-click on the entry for "__SETUP.EXE" to invoke it.
  • Complete Setup -- Read the opening screen, then click on Continue. For "Name", enter your name or the tile of your position (e.g., QA Manager). For "Organization", enter your company's name. Click on OK. Click on OK again to confirm the information. Setup proposes installing the EZ Form® update in the folder C:\EZFORM. To accept this default, simply click on OK. However, if EZ Form® was installed previously in a different folder, then click on "Change Folder" and select the folder which currently contains the EZ Form® program; i.e., the folder containing EZF32.EXE.) On the next screen, click on the large icon which displays a computer. Leave the Program Group as EzForm and click on Continue. After Setup completes copying files, click on OK.
  • Create a Desktop Shortcut for EZ Form® -- Run File Explorer. Display your C:\ drive. Open the EZFORM folder and locate EZF32.EXE. Single-click on it to highlight it. Right-click on EZF32.EXE. If present at the end of the list, click on <Show more options>. Point your mouse at "Send to", then select "Desktop (create shortcut)"
  • Complete EZ Form® Update -- Use your desktop shortcut to invoke EZ Form®. The first time EZ Form® is run after completing Setup, a secondary installation is performed:

    If this is the only or first computer on which this update is being installed...

    Program execution should stop for your input on a screen whose title begins with "Updating from Version". If not, contact Prime Label. The "Current Data Location" input box shows where your data has been found. By default, the "New Data Location" input box shows the same path as the current location box. If you are happy with this, simply click Continue. If, however, you wish to use the installation process to move your data to a new folder, click the Specify New Data Location button, specify the new folder in which your data is to reside, then click OK. If you are advised that the new folder does not exists, respond appropriately. Finally, with the "New Data Location" box reading as desired, click Continue Installation of Update.

    EZ Form® databases will now be created, updated, and re-indexed. When you are informed that EZ Form® installation is complete, click on Continue. Read and respond to additional screens as appropriate until you come to the EZ Form® main screen.

    If this is NOT the first computer on which this update is being installed...

    Program execution should stop for your input on a screen whose title begins with "Connect To / Rebuild Version". If not, contact Prime Label. The "Current Data Location" input box shows where your already-updated data has been found. Generally speaking, there should be no need to rebuild the data, so simply click on Connect to Existing ... Data. Since your data has already been updated to the current version, databases will not be rebuilt or reindexed. Program execution will simply continue with user login, etc.
